Koffee With Karan: Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail Khan

In this very special 100th episode of Koffee With Karan, we see three brothers come together on the couch for the first time. Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail Khan. These three brothers are the sons of veteran actor and writer Salim Khan. They are also the step-sons of Helen.

The majority of the discussion between the frou revolved around how close-knitted the family was and still is.From growing up in the same bedroom together, they had many stories that they could share. It went from the few intruders that they have had in their house to rivalries with other members of the industry.

But there were some limits with the conversation, Arbaaz refused to say anything about his separation with Malaika Arora Khan, whereas Sohail was more than happy to share the story of how he got married to Seema. And Salman’s driving accident was not brought up at all in conversation.

Most of the stories that were told were headed by Salman, with Arbaaz coming in here and there. Though, Sohail was rarely heard from. I thought that maybe Salman could have let his brothers talk from time to time, after all the stories involved all three of them.

Karan made change with the Rapid Fire round this week, asking each brother one question at a time. Although, I did notice that Salman and Sohail refused to answer particular questions related to numbering actors and actresses in the industry. There was also a clear dislike for Katrina Kaif, which is weird because Salman and Katrina are starring in the sequel to ‘Ek Tha Tiger‘, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai‘ next year. And therefore, I would have given the hamper to Arbaaz for this.

The rapid fire got me laughing; the three of them were close. Sohail’s impersonation of Sunny Deol, being the stand out. But as Sohail started drawing back, Salman backed off to get the round to a tie-breaker. It felt cheap, especially when Salman gave the last question for Sohail to win.

The hamper was handed to both Salman and Arbaaz at the end of the show. Probably, so that no one missed out. Which is strange, and many others have gone home empty handed. It seems that there was some kind of deal struck beforehand.

Koffee With Karan airs Monday at 12am. It’s available to watch online at hotstar.com.
